You are the first contact of the conference participants arriving at the conference.

The tasks at the registration desk can be:

Scanning Tickets, Printing and Handing out Badges

Distribute preordered Merch-Items

Answering Questions of Participants

Introduces speakers, keeps sessions on time, and helps manage Q&A with support from Pretalx speaker info. Keep a rough attendance log (room full, half full, sparse)

Controlling the Camera so the presenter is always well visible on the video feed.

There is no A/V-technical knowledge needed. There will be an Introduction Meeting for all Volunteers where the tools and what needs to be done will be explained.

Controlling the Picture which is sent to the Livestream and Recording. You switch between Presentation, Cameras and Break-Slides to provide the best Talk-Experience possible to participants who could not attend the talk. Also you assist the speakers during changeover and help them get set up on the stage.

The backbone of the conference. If anything unforeseen happens we might need someone to take care of an unplanned task. You’re “on call” for the conference team and help where help is needed.

B. Information on individual processing operations

With your permission, your data will be collected, processed, and used for the following purposes:

• Generating lists of all helpers

• Sending information before the event by e-mail

• Phone call for urgent and important issues

• If necessary generating identification badges for the event

• If necessary invitation for the after party

Your personal data will be collected, processed, and used in the context of the aforementioned objectives in accordance with the GDPR. Access to the personal data is granted only to selected organizers of the event. The data will be deleted 6 months after the end of the event.

The collection, processing, and use of your data take place on a voluntary basis. Furthermore, you can revoke your consent at any time with the adverse consequence that you cannot participate in the event as helper. Please send any notice of cancellation using the contact details provided above (at the beginning of A).

In the event of cancellation, your data will be deleted upon receipt of your notice.

With your permission your email address is collected to inform you about new events. Furthermore specific calls for participation as helper for events of the Student Representatives will be sent to this email address.

It is possible to veto the sending of further emails anytime.
